Holmach Ltd PPMA 2022 Preview -  Key themes include vertical farming, shelf-life extension and sustainable manufacturing

With COP26 taking place at the end of last year and HFSS regulations and COP27 looming, healthier production processes and sustainability have been high on the agenda for both Holmach and our market leading technology partners. Solutions that eradicate unhealthy preservatives and minimise waste and the use of energy and natural resources have been a clear priority for customers.

During PPMA, we'll be focusing on these priorities, whilst addressing some of the clear industry trends that are going to see the manufacturing industry change dramatically over the next 10 years. Our Managing Director Chris Holland will be hosting a live presentation on achieving flavour in plant-based foods, and on stand C30, our team will be discussing topics including waste reduction, shelf-life extension, decontaminating growing media for vertical farming and the processing of Biologically Appropriate Raw Food for pets.

The show will also see the presentation of new technology and manufacturing solutions including Perfinox’s new tiltable Perficooker which will be featured on the stand.

With almost 50 years of heritage and the expertise of our market leading technology partners developing all of the time, we will also be using this year’s show to relaunch the Holmach brand with product and sector extensions.

Chris Holland says of the relaunch “Our specialist subject has always been thermal processing, with a clear focus on the food industry. With the expertise that exists inhouse and the capabilities of our market leading technology partners, that will never change. However, taking the lead from our customers we’ve extended the scope of our portfolio to encompass filling and closing solutions and package handling, with new innovations seeing our technology transferable to the non-food sector including cosmetics, personal care and household. With everything that we do, we will continue to ensure that innovation, sustainability and production efficiencies remain at the core.”

Visit us on Stand C30 from 27-29 September at the NEC in Birmingham.
