Scientific Research


Holmach has an established history of collaboration with scientific advances in the food industry and in association with the University of Nottingham and Campden BRI, Holmach supports clients in pioneering NPD work as well as research projects within these institutions.
 
Chris Holland is a permanent member of the Scientific and Technical committee at Campden BRI and a Fellow of the IFST. His most recent scientific publishing contribution is the chapter "Advances in retort equipment and control systems" as part of the compilation "In-pack processed foods; Improving quality", edited by Philip Richardson and published by Woodhead Publishing Limited in 2008. 

Previously Chris was a Director of the PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association) and Chairman of the Heat Preserved Foods Panel at Campden BRI for 6 years. Other members of the Holmach team attend various Members Interest Group meetings at Campden BRI, including chilled and frozen foods, heat preserved foods and manufacturing technologies.
